My OC :3. Bates is modified human - he has got a glide membrane on the sides of his body, tail and paws - aaaaaaaaand modified woman .  Bates's pronounce is he\his, but biologically he is female, modified that way to be able reproduce kids with other females. He supposed to be born full hermaphrodite, but experiment failed in some way. Bates's mother, the scientist, was really disappointed about this, still another kid, Luvi (second main hero of my story) has better results and was closer to the goal.
Whole life Bates was and is opressed because of his androgynious look and behavior, called as freak, dyke, fag etc, was beaten and bullied almost everywhere. Mother left him, when he was teenager. On this religious colonized planet he is treated like defective creep - and it's still better, than to be killed by bloodthirsty gangs, who murder "wrong" people in the name of God.
Bates has strong, tough and agressive personality. At his 23 years he is sergeant of flying scouts and mother of baby, that was taken with force and adopted by father's grandparents (long and unpleasant story, nothing romantic here, Perfy was raped while drunk intoxication). Bates's life consisted only of danger, meetings with son and boredom - until Luvi, the bestest friend Bates ever had, appears against the scout base's door after the six years of separetion.
And love is just one of the big themes, that will be in the novel about them . Kinda reeeeeeally big novel. I don't have 3-4 lifes to illustrate it into graphic novel, sorry X)
